Conservation Trip to South Africa

To everyone in the trust, I just wanted to thank you for providing the bursary that allowed me to go to Nambiti and Zingela in South Africa on a conservation trip with my college.

It was a life changing experience and I've learnt so much about how they work to help protect endangered species in their natural habitat. I got to have some hands-on experience with actual conservation work in the reserves including land management, population counts and telemetry. I also got to work with the anti-poaching teams looking for snares.

I saw some elusive animals including aardwolves, a cheetah and her cubs as well as caracals. I was also able to do some community work while I was out there and visited a school and a homestead where I got to learn about the Zulu culture and traditions.

I cannot thank you enough for helping me to go on this trip. I will never forget it.
